Welcome to Carlos Trallero Lab’s group page

Welcome.

This is the page for the group of Prof. Carlos Trallero. Our group has a very broad set of interests all centered around ultrafast laser physics. We use very intense femtosecond (10-15 seconds) lasers to study the structure and dynamics of the quantum world, ranging from isolated atoms to bulk solid materials. In particular, we use non-linear effects to generate and control attosecond (10-18 seconds) time scales in light pulses and electron motion. To put it in perspective, there are as many attoseconds in one second as there have been seconds in the entire history of the universe. Recently we are making efforts to break the attosecond barrier towards the zeptosecond regime (10-21 seconds).
